This micro-credential has been created through the Regional Economic Futures Fund Project, in collaboration with the Queensland Government.

Micro-credential Description

The Current and new technologies in the renewable energy sector micro-credential introduces clean and renewable energy sources, including an overview of primary (solar, wind, biofuels) and secondary (battery storage, hydrogen, pumped hydro energy storage and hydroelectricity) energy generation.

It also provides an overview of emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector, including advanced photovoltaic systems, floating solar farms, energy storage systems (solid-state and flow batteries), green hydrogen (H) production, advanced bioenergy fuels, offshore wind technology, smart grids, and Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU).
