Micro-credential Description

The SMB1001 Cyber security Tier 1 micro-credential introduces cyber security management for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). It is the first step of a five-tiered certification designed to help SMBs develop and improve cyber security, recognise risk, and understand different cyber threats.

Each tier provides an increasing level of knowledge about cyber security, based on expert experience and industry best practice. By following the multi-tiered framework, businesses enhance their resilience against cyber threats and learn how to effectively safeguard their digital assets. Each business works towards meeting compliance requirements, including International Standard ISO/IEC 27001, by progressively certifying its practices using the five SMB1001 tiers.
