This micro-credential is proudly funded by the Joint Electrical Training Council (JETCO) for Queensland electrical workers, who are required to supervise electrical apprentices.

The micro-credential is an initiative of members of the Queensland Electrical Licensing Committee, the Electrical Education Safety Committee, as well as broader industry stakeholder engagement. It has been developed in collaboration with TAFE Queensland and representatives from the electrical industry.

Micro-credential Description

The Effective supervision of electrical apprentices micro-credential aims to improve safety and compliance in electrical apprentice supervision and provides accessible, flexible, and industry-relevant online training. It explains leadership techniques, key skills, and strategies that can be implemented when supervising an electrical apprentice in the workplace.

The micro-credential has been developed in alignment with the Safe working and supervision guide for electrical apprentices. It is designed for electrical apprentices and new and experienced supervising electrical tradespeople.
