This micro-credential describes the skills and knowledge required to understand and apply basic energy literacy in homes, workplaces and community settings. It includes identifying energy use, applying simple energy efficiency actions, estimating cost savings and developing practical energy plans. The micro-credential supports learners to use energy in a way that is efficient, sustainable and respectful of shared resources. It also recognises the importance of caring for Country and working together in community contexts where energy systems may be shared or limited. The micro-credential is suitable for learners beginning their pathway into energy literacy, including those participating in community programs or on-Country learning environments.
