This micro-credential introduces how electricity is created, how it travels through energy networks and how it reaches homes and communities. Learners develop an understanding of electricity generation, transmission, distribution and community energy systems. The micro-credential supports learners to identify energy infrastructure in their local environment, apply basic energy safety practices and use observation skills to recognise infrastructure on Country. The learning connects to real situations in homes, workplaces and communities and provides a foundation for future pathways in energy, construction, maintenance and community-based roles.
